The AFS fostering panel meets regularly at least once a month
or as frequently as may be necessary for its purpose or as required
by the agency. The determination of such panel meeting is based
on a minimum number of cases to be considered by the panel.
No business is conducted by the fostering panel unless at least
five of its members, including the person appointed to chair
the panel, or the vice chair, at least one of the social work
professionals and at least two of the independent members, meet
as a panel.
The agency keeps a comprehensive written
record of the proceedings of the fostering panel and the reasons
for its recommendations.
